the broadcaster is launching a new and refreshed ‘East’. A lot of work has been done recently to create one recognizable look & feel for all channels. You will hear and see that from today.

We are East

“Oost is a very strong brand that we are proud of,” says director Judith Hartman. “We didn’t do too much work on the logo, but we did polish it a bit. We say goodbye to the letters ‘RTV’. Because in addition to radio and TV, we work increasingly digitally and the role of online is becoming even greater. In the near future, we will continue to work hard on the digital viewing experience of our videos and programs in the app and on the website. The color blue has been retained in a refreshed form in our logo. It radiates the reliability that we find important.”

Each channel has its own story

“The brand strategy is in line with how the public uses and experiences Oost,” says editor-in-chief Henk Jan Karsten. “Oost creates stories 24/7 for web and app, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, radio and TV. Each channel requires its own strategy and we want to put even more energy into this in the near future. Our audience almost always follows us in a mix of channels. On radio and television, but certainly also online and on social media. Programs are increasingly watched or rewatched on the web and app. We make videos for YouTube that have an impact on online and social channels, and a very large group listens to radio via television or digitally. On Instagram and Tik Tok we report news from Overijssel in a way that suits the younger target group. In the near future, we want to get to know our audience even better, so that we can provide them with an even better tailor-made service.”

Multifunctional studios

As of today, the radio studios have been given a new look and the other studios have been made multi-use for daily formats, series, fast reporting, broadcasts with an audience, explanation videos, etc. From Friday, April 5, the football talk show ‘de Oosttribune’ will start from a new setting. The ‘Crime Scene’ investigation program will follow in May in a refreshed form and then in May we will start with a daily news format ‘Dwars door Overijssel’. ‘Spunck Podium’ will also soon start a new series of music and culture and will also receive a minor facelift.

At home with East

Oost is at home in Overijssel. And Overijssel feels at home with Oost. The ‘Thuis bij Oost’ campaign starts in April, where residents of Overijssel show their most beautiful place to Overijssel. From September it will also be possible to book a tour or package at Oost. So keep an eye on us in the near future.
