The cliffhanger ended with Ludo requesting the file surrounding Billy de Palma’s death.

Inspect with Lopez

Shanti receives a call out of the blue from a detective named Lopez, who has come especially from Paraguay to investigate the death of Billy de Palma. Together with Rik, she gives him a list of possible suspects in coal English: Ludo and Richard van Nooten.

Shanti receives a visit from Paraguay

Richard is shocked when Shanti tells him about Lopez. He strongly denies having anything to do with the death of his ex-wife and contacts the detective to prove his innocence. What he doesn’t know is that Lopez reports directly to Ludo. Ludo wants Lopez to hook up with Richard and gain his trust. Under no circumstances should Van Nooten feel like a suspect. Lopez does as he is told and learns from Richard that he was in Miami at the time of Billy’s death.

Afterwards, Richard visits Shanti to discuss the situation together. They don’t realize that Lopez is following them and consulting with Ludo. He is disappointed that Richard and Shanti have still not drifted apart and orders the next phase.

Bing dreams big

Bing opens Sparks with a festive drink but also has big news: he wants to buy the vacant building next to him and immediately establish a bouldering hall and padel courts there. Nina is enthusiastic, but Ludo is anything but: in his eyes padel is just a hype. As a silent investor, he demands that she talk him out of the plans.

Manu the merciful thief

Ludo wants Stefano to help him again to inventory some of his belongings. Stefano rightly notes that this mainly resembles occupational therapy, but he turns necessity into a virtue by explaining something to Manu about watches. During the lesson, Manu secretly puts a gold watch in his pocket.

Stefano and Merel quickly conclude that Manu must have the clock, but the boy initially continues to deny it. Merel cleverly makes him confess. He wanted to give it to his classmate Liam. His parents have little money, so he often comes to school without food.

Stefano and Merel are touched by the story and ask Manu to invite Liam for a nice day. The boys are having a good time, but Stefano can’t really understand how people can be so poor that even their children don’t get food. Merel has a little more perspective and talks to her elitist sweetheart.

Honesty or self-interest

Julian and the rest try everything to relieve Henk and Laura without letting them know how difficult that is. Steef in particular bends over backwards, but his girlfriend Naomi doesn’t understand it. Doesn’t Laura have enough money to hire certified healthcare staff?

Naomi wants people to be honest about Laura.

When Steef cannot go to Laura because he has to fill in at the local supermarket, Naomi sacrifices herself. She has a pleasant afternoon with Laura, but then tells her in detail how Julian De Koning had to close earlier and how caring for her puts a lot of pressure on Steef. Is hiring someone really not better?

Laura is touched by her words and tells Henk, after which Julian hears it again. He comes along on high legs to tell Naomi the truth. But Naomi genuinely meant well: she said it because she saw that it was becoming too much for everyone, not because she wants to see Steef more.

Laura takes the bull by the horns. She tells Julian that she is going to Linda for a week in Curaçao… Completely alone, even Henk stays at home, although he had not heard that yet. Julian doesn’t think it’s a good plan, especially when it turns out that Linda doesn’t know anything.

Laura believes that she can do the journey herself, but Elisa, as a professional counselor, decides to have an honest conversation with her. That only makes Laura angrier and more rebellious. She never wants to see Elisa again. Fortunately, Julian has the solution: he just goes along himself.

Nola’s new direction

A busy week for Nola. Not only is Bing nervous now that she made it clear that she wants to have sex with Troj, but as the future owner of the Rosegarden Group she also has to go to the board meeting with Ludo for the first time.

She is bored to death, but she also has a plan: she wants all locations to introduce an extensive cocktail menu and has arranged for cocktails to be served afterwards to prove how useful her idea is. Ludo is impressed by her decisiveness.

In any case, Nola continues on well. After completing her VMBO, she plans to do HAVO in one year and then study at the higher hotel school. Nina and Bing also have good news: they want to take her to the doctor to ensure that she is prescribed contraception.

Marwan has to get to work

If Marwan wants to have a chance at Tamara’s old job, he must urgently start his HBO education. He is dreading it and Tamara also wonders why he actually wants it: he is cut out for managing people on the work floor, not for sitting in the office. Still, she helps him study.

Janine’s shocking discovery

Janine found a school friend of Yvonne, Ineke Roest’s daughter, who was dead in the house for three months, for her podcast. The woman says that Yvonne and her younger sisters were sexually abused by their brother Willem for years. When Yvonne finally reported it, she had to drop her mother’s case.

Janine doesn’t know how to proceed. After a conversation with Ludo, she decides to persevere: unfortunately there are many women who are in a similar situation and Yvonne’s story may be able to help them. That is why she decides to write a long letter to try to contact her.

Bing smells fuse

At the end of the week, Nina has a problem when Bing enthusiastically announces that the neighbors have allowed him to make an exclusive offer on the property. Nina only needs to sign. She tries to use an excuse to buy time to consult with Ludo.

Nina holds off the boat

Ludo and Nina have a conclave in De Rozenboom and Ludo still thinks it is a disastrous idea. Nola hears the commotion and accidentally speaks out of her mouth at home so that Bing smells trouble. When Nina comes home, he has a simple question for his wife: is Ludo the true moneylender in Sparks?

And further: Manu turns out to be able to predict football scores, Nola is not even allowed to serve her own cocktails and the ever customer-friendly Bing calls his clientele horny bastards with impunity.
