The hints prior to the performance are really of no use to the candidates. “Shall we do something quickly?” asks Jan Dulles after all the speculation from Jamai and the other artists on the panel. On which Jamai uses the song ‘Superstition’ by Stevie Wonder, together with his secret singer.
After the first part of the song, no one is any the wiser. “He can sing very well,” says Jamai. Then the secret singer a hint showing that he participated in Expedition Robinson. During the question round, he is asked whether he is in a soap opera, but Jamai’s mysterious singing partner answers ‘no’.
Everyone has lost track and only during the unveiling does it all become clear: it is Guido Spek. Confusion everywhere: “Aren’t you in a series?” Edsilia Rombley asks desperately. “Six years ago,” Guido answers. “Yes, but that’s how I know you,” Edsilia responds disappointed.
No one knew that the former GTST star could sing so well. Until now then. “I bought a van two years ago and I drive around in it and give headphone concerts,” says Guido. All in all, a real all-rounder!
