On Wednesday, May 31, the curatorium of the NRC (municipalities overseas) will meet. A prayer meeting was held Tuesday evening prior to this meeting.

Rev. P. van Ruitenburg, pastor of the church in Chilliwack (Canada), led this prayer meeting. He spoke from John 21:6 (And He said to them, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find. So they cast it, and could draw it no more because of the multitude of the fishes).

The theme of the sermon was ‘the second miraculous catch of fish’, divided into four points: (1) no fish, (2) an abundance of fish, (3) keeping the fish, (4) eating the fish.

The curatorium meets, as usual, in the church of Grand Rapids (USA). The agenda includes the following two items:

  1. Hearing from men who applied to be admitted to training at the Theological School.

  2. The exam of student P. Kleijer in Walker (USA). If this is successfully completed, he will be made appealable to the municipalities as of next Monday.

Reports on the last two points will be made here. However, there is a 7 hour time difference.
