Electric cars generally consume more than manufacturers specify. The result is a less good range than you might expect. This time we test the driving range of the Fiat 600e.
The difference in the specified WLTP range and actual range is large for some cars. For this reason, Autovisie tests the real average driving range in practice with air conditioning and radio on. This way you know better how far you can really get with an EV.
The Fiat 600e
The Fiat 600e is on Stellantis’ well-known eCMP platform. That platform was known for its high consumption, but the group has made improvements.
The Fiat 600e has a 156 hp electric motor that is linked to a battery pack of 54.4 kWh (gross). Of this, 51 kWh is usable. When the battery is fully charged, the EV has a range of 406 kilometers. At least, on paper.
The actual range
The start of the ride in the Fiat 600e with a full battery at an outside temperature of about 10 degrees is good. In the display we read that we have a range of 400 km and if we press the Eco button that increases to 419 km.

We recorded an average consumption of 14.9 kWh/100 km with the Fiat 600e and that is even slightly better than the manufacturer states. Ultimately, with that consumption and the available battery capacity, you can travel 432 km. More than the factory specifications.

Autovisie independently tests consumption in the Netherlands during the Autovisie double test. Please note that consumption may vary because it depends on your driving style, but also on weather conditions and many other factors.
