Bitcoin price dips below $62,000, market is holding up well

--

The bitcoin (BTC) price has been quietly dropping for several days, and now the price is turning red again. Bitcoin slid further yesterday and tested the important level of $61,000 at the beginning of the night. Many altcoins, on the other hand, pay little attention to Bitcoin’s price drop and are surprisingly in a positive position.

BTC price tests $61,000

The bitcoin price seemed to hold strong above $62,000 yesterday, but in the evening the downward trend of the past few days continued.

At around 8 p.m. the price was still just below $63,000, but then bitcoin took a big hit. The price took a big dive and only reached a low at the beginning of the night, just below $61,000.

The price zone around $61,000 marks an important support zone for BTC, which has done an excellent job so far. The bulls have made themselves heard again, causing the price to skyrocket by hundreds of dollars.

However, BTC is far from out of the danger zone. Moreover, the next resistance at $64,000 is not yet within reach. If the price still falls below $61,000, a further decline towards $59,000 is in the offing.

At the time of writing, the BTC price on crypto exchange Bybit powered by SATOS is equal to $61,583. On the Dutch crypto exchange Bitvavo, the BTC price in euros amounts to 557,244. Compared to 24 hours ago, BTC is down 1.93%.

There are also some risers within the top 10. For example, BNB (BNB) has risen by 1.90% in the past day, toncoin (TON) by 1.66% and cardano (ADA) takes the cake with a price jump of 3.79%.

The other top 10 crypto coins, on the other hand, have been pulled down. Ethereum (ETH) is down 0.63%, solana (SOL) is down 2.14% and dogecoin (DOGE) is down 1.62%.
