After ten years, Peter Van Asbroeck is still not living with girlfriend Gwen, and there is a specific reason for that

Actor Peter Van Asbroeck has been in a relationship with accountant Gwen for 10 years. Yet the two do not live together and there is a very specific reason for that.

Peter Van Asbroeck (61) can be seen on TV again after an 11-year absence. He is currently starring in the telenovella Milo with Camille. In an interview with Hello everyone this week he gives insight into his private life. He explains, among other things, why he is childless: “My sister gave birth to four children, I have none. It never happened. My friend Gwen has a 30-year-old son from a previous relationship and I sometimes think: ‘What would it be like if he were really my son?’ But you can’t miss what you don’t know.”

Van Asbroeck and Gwen have been together for 10 years, but they still live separately. “A practical choice,” he explains. “She works in Hasselt as an accountant and lives in Diepenbeek, I live in Boechout. We have a different schedule, but we see each other weekly and call every day. We don’t have to lie in the same bed every day. Sometimes I sleep better alone.”

So it has nothing to do with fear of commitment. “I used to live together and once I was about to get married, but that didn’t happen. I don’t have a fear of commitment, usually it was my friends who ended it.” (Pom)
