Tupac Shakur’s heirs are angry about a song that rapper Drake made with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). It’s about Taylor Made Freestylein which Tupac’s voice is recreated using AI.
Tupac’s relatives have threatened legal action if Drake does not take the song offline within 24 hours, reports Billboard.
Lawyer Howard King, who represents the family, speaks in a letter of a “clear violation” of the legacy of Tupac, who died in 1996. Permission would never have been given for this use, King states.
In Taylor Made Freestylea so-called diss track, Drake takes aim at fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar. The song is a new development in the rivalry between the rappers, who often verbally attack each other in their songs.
