Django Wagner recently lost his mother after a short illness. It is therefore a terrible period for the folk singer and he cannot bear the thought of also losing his girlfriend.
Cardiac arrest
Django candidly tells De Telegraaf that his great love Ingrid had a cardiac arrest in the past: ‘Then I really thought: How is this going to end? You just don’t want to experience something like that.” The fear at the time was great, because the family realized that it could have ended badly. ‘She was only 36 at the time, so much too young to have to go through that.’
Anniversary
This year Ingrid and Django are celebrating their 25th anniversary, and to celebrate this they are going out to eat with the family at a restaurant. The singer cannot imagine what he would do without his great love. ‘Because I’m away a lot, she has done everything for the children. I couldn’t have asked for a better woman. She also does everything at home because she has been rejected.’
Crohn’s disease
Ingrid has been unfit for treatment due to Crohn’s disease. ‘She’s had that for a long time. The combination of children, work and this disease was simply no longer possible.’ The folk singer believes that many people underestimate the disease.
