Princess Alexia is finally opening up about her gap year. The princess tells NOS that she “got to know other cultures.”
What Princess Alexia did during her gap year remained unclear for a long time. Last summer, the princess did not know what she was going to do this academic year, but that is now changing.
Travels made
The middle daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima has had the opportunity to discover new cultures. “I have been very happy to travel a lot this year, get to know other cultures. And especially to be busy with something other than school. A little work and a little travel.” Princess Alexia does not want to say which was the most beautiful country. “In such a gap year, every moment is special and I enjoyed everything.”

She doesn’t know yet what the princess will do next year. “I will let you know when I know,” Princess Alexia told the NOS reporter. King Willem-Alexander also does not know yet what his daughter will do. “We won’t know until she knows. We leave it completely to our daughter. She can go in so many directions that I also wait anxiously to see what she chooses.”
