Sophie Bouquet explains long absence in GTST | RTL Boulevard

In a Q&A, Sophie explains her absence in the soap village. “Merel was of course in New York with Stefano and myself, I did all kinds of things.” She first states what was already known: “I have The Perfect Picture done, I had recordings for that,” she says about all those weeks that viewers had to miss Merel. In addition, the soapie also plays a role in a new rom-com. “And for the film Love Fail Repeat in Curaçao.”

Merel is currently in GTST in Zwolle, where she works extra shifts with the police.

Merel and Stefano (Bas Muijs), who have already had their fair share of troubles, may be in for quite a bit of love. “I think Merel falls in love with someone else, and I really like Bas, but still falls in love with someone else,” the actress hints in the same Q&A about a dream storyline. “But that doesn’t work at all the way she wants it and that she becomes kind of obsessed, which makes her a stalker.”

Will this twist actually happen, perhaps even before the summer cliffhanger? “Every now and then we are allowed to tell some ideas to ed writers and sometimes they do something with them and sometimes they don’t.”
