Bibi Breijman made a bizarre comment yesterday on the stage of the Liberation Festival in The Hague. The audience reacted in shock. “Did she really say that?”

Bibi performed yesterday at the Liberation Festival and the rest of the afternoon she was on stage presenting. A young girl named Noa was given the honor of lighting the liberation flame and at that moment Bibi made a bizarre comment.

‘Inappropriate’

“Just saw Bibi Breijman present at the Liberation Festival in The Hague,” a source who was in the audience told juice channel Realityfbi. “Just a piece in which a girl came forward to talk about freedom and war in your head (mental well-being). She told how she struggled with war in her head for years. She was then allowed to climb onto the aerial platform with the torch to light the fire. Bibi shouts through the microphone: ‘Don’t jump down Noa!’ A bit inappropriate in that situation when someone is just talking about her psychological problems.”

In the video that Realityfbi shares in Instagram Stories, Bibi can be heard making the comment. “Did she really say that?” the audience said.

Mental problems

Bibi’s comment is striking, since in her book I am Bibi talks about her own mental problems. Last year Bibi battled depression and at one point she almost didn’t dare go out on the street because of severe fears. That’s why she went to therapy. “Now that I have been able to throw it out, I no longer carry it in my backpack every day,” says Bibi. In her book she also says that she hopes others will realize that they do not have to be ashamed of their mental problems. “You are strong if you dare to be vulnerable.”
