Impact of children
“The birth of Naomi (8) turned my life upside down and felt like a landslide,” says Renze, who immediately knew that being a parent would have the biggest impact on his future life. He felt that becoming a father to son Ezra (5) was an even greater responsibility. ‘Does that sound very strange? I am his example, Ezra will emulate me. That adds just a little more pressure,” says Renze, who saw his marriage fail in October 2019, just nine months after the birth of his son.
Co-parents
The divorce brought Renze a lot of sadness, but dwelling in the pain was not an option. Renze and Pearl wanted nothing more than to make it as pleasant as possible for the children. “That was our miss,” he says MAX Magazine. They have found their niche as co-parents. One week Naomi and Ezra are with Renze, the next week with Pearl. ‘Of course, single parenthood also consumes energy in addition to presenting my programs. But there is no such thing as a richer life.’ The RTL4 presenter tries to keep a good balance between work and private life. ‘If I have a busy recording schedule for a few weeks, I can fall back on Pearl and a pool of babysitters.’ You can view Renze’s cute sprouts below.
