DJ Martin Garrix is according to business magazine Quote once again the richest ‘self-made’ millionaire under the age of 40. The business magazine reports this in the nineteenth edition of the Top 100 Young Self-made Millionaires.
Although the total assets of the richest self-made millionaires have fallen by more than 3 billion euros, Martin Garrix saw his wealth grow. That is estimated at 50 million, compared to 48 million last year. Just like last year, he takes 29th position. Garrix is not the only well-known DJ with a considerable fortune. Nick van de Wall (Afrojack), Robbert van de Corput (Hardwell) and Sam Renders (Sam Feldt) can also be counted among the hundred young, richest self-made entrepreneurs.
There are six women on the list, compared to four last year. This also includes famous Dutch people: fashion entrepreneur Nikkie Plessen (number 45), model Doutzen Kroes (number 67) and influencer and entrepreneur Negin Mirsalehi, known for cosmetics brand Gisou (number 75).
The lower limit has risen to a record 17 million euros, from 15 million. To get on the Quotelist, the entrepreneurs must have earned that capital themselves. Job van der Voort is the leader with an estimated fortune of 600 million euros. Van der Voort is the founder of Remote.coma company that helps companies hire staff in countries where they are not present themselves.
