While Sweden and Denmark stole the state visit show this week, the Norwegians were also busy with something similar. They visited Moldova: no monarchy, so less splendor, but it still provided a few nice moments.
Pacemaker with power
To start with, King Harald’s pacemaker seems to be doing the patent, it looked surprisingly good for someone with a rich medical history.
Mette-Marit as Maria
Mette-Marit looked like Maria The Sound of Music as inspiration for her look.
Pretty in pink
Kudos to Queen Sonja who knows how important it is to continue wearing color later in life (although the cape coat would probably have been nicer in a slightly longer version).
Astrid rocks!
Bonus points for Princess Astrid, sister of King Harald, who wore a trendy dress from Polo Ralph Lauren. On the right is Maia Sandu, the President of Moldova.
And a bit of chic
For the state banquet, Mette-Marit wore a new look: a romantic pink Carolina Herrera from a 2018 collection. Here too, extra love for Princess Astrid: wearing gold shoes at 92 shows a zest for life.
