On Thursday, May 16, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the Livestock Farming and Human Health Knowledge Platform is organizing a webinar on air pollution and COVID-19 in the Netherlands.

The reason is the national research into air quality and corona. This shows that poor air quality increases the risk of infection and serious illness due to corona. This research is a collaboration of the RIVM, Utrecht University, Wageningen University & Research and GGD GHOR.

During the webinar, Lapo Mughini Gras (epidemiologist at the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment and Utrecht University) presents the results of the research.

Renske Nijdam (senior environmental and health advisor at the Brabant GGDs) puts the results of the research into context and translates them into what the results of this research can mean for practice. How do the results influence the GGD advice to municipalities/provinces? And how does the GGD deal with questions from local residents?
