Nola Sanders has been appearing in for over eleven years Good times Bad Times, but now that the soap character has entered puberty and Noa Jacobus is giving shape to the character as a permanent actress, she is the new star of the RTL 4 series. Especially now that the storylines surrounding Ludo Sanders’ granddaughter have come to a head in recent weeks, including a budding romance.
Nola Sanders is played by Noa Jacobus. The 20-year-old actress has been seen since 2022 as the daughter of Nina Sanders and Bing Mauricius, although the latter is not her biological father. Before that, the role of Nola was played by various child actors. Although Jacobus is already an adult herself, she had to play a 12-year-old in her first period. Her character is now well into puberty with associated problems, such as a budding romance and a part-time job at hotel De Rozenboom.

Age jumps
It is quite common that children in soap operas grow up much faster than in normal life. Although Nola should actually be eleven years old now, she plays an adolescent of around 15 to 16 years old. Her mother Nina Sanders also experienced something similar. She was born in 1997. When Nola was born in 2013, she would actually have been only 16 years old. But her character made several leaps and in 2009 she was suddenly 21 years old.
That part-time job in De Rozenboom is extra special for those who have been following the soap for a long time. This storyline started 12 years ago when the soap was still populated by completely different characters. Who remembers Gigi Ravelli when she played Lorena Gonzalez? She was the daughter of housekeeper Rosa of the Sanders family, but later also the owner of hotel De Rozenboom.

And there the seed is planted for the storyline that is now playing out around Nola. Her biological father is Mike Brandt, played by Louis Talpe, whom we know as Mega Toby from the Flemish children’s series Mega Mindy. A sneaky character who sabotaged a condom during an affair with Nina Sanders (Marly van der Velden). He hoped to become rich himself by becoming part of the Sanders dynasty. But in a soap such a story always comes true.
Back to hotel De Rozenboom. Mike also stole that from Lorena in a sneaky way. However, he cannot enjoy his new acquisition for long, because during a parachute jump his parachute does not open and he falls to his death. The main suspects were Lorena and Ludo Sanders, but in the end it turned out that the wrong parachute had been sabotaged and Mike was not the target of the perpetrator (Rik de Jong) at all.
Mike has included in his inheritance that hotel De Rozenboom will be owned by his biological daughter Nola. Because she was still a minor at the time, her grandfather Ludo took charge of it for her. But now twelve years after Mike’s death, the moment is getting closer that Nola will actually become the owner of the most famous hotel chain in the fictional village of Meerdijk.
Puppy love
The character of Nola is now becoming increasingly popular with fans. Partly because of the early romance she has with construction worker Troj, who helped with the renovation of her ‘father’ Bing’s business. Especially because Bing (Everon Jackson Hooi) is quite conservative, the love between the two is difficult. Which leads to secret dates and meetings when she runs away from home.
But Nola also owes her popularity to her many appearances on the social media channels GTST. As a 20-year-old, Jacobus knows how to connect perfectly with the young generation that can be found on those platforms. She can regularly be seen in funny videos, where she performs sketches as her character. So the time of Linda, Roos and Jessica is over, but with Nola the soap has found its way back to tomorrow.
