Markets in Dordrecht
On April 27 there are several markets in Dordrecht. Dordten residents can go treasure hunting here! Who knows, you might find a beautiful painting for your wall or spot an old book that you’ve been looking for for a long time.
Orange market
In the center you will find the Oranjemarkt on King’s Day. Private individuals can sell their second-hand items here. The market can be found from the Grotekerksbuurt towards the Visstraat and on the Sarisgang. The Oranjemarkt is not a free market.
Free market for children in the city center
What is King’s Day without a dress market? As always, you can find the children’s free market in the Kloostertuin. Only children up to 12 years old are allowed to sell something here. Other residents of Dordrecht can roll out their blanket on Museumstraat between Kolfstraat and Nieuwstraat, on Nieuwstraat between Hofstraat and Vest and on Vriesestraat between Lenghenstraat and Vest. Residents have priority when it comes to putting down their rugs. The dress market lasts until 5 p.m.
Vrijmarkt Dubbeldam
King’s Day will also be celebrated this year on the grounds of the ice rink on the Gravensingel in Dubbeldam. The free market for second-hand items, toys and more starts at 12 noon. Participation is free.
Flea market and Sterrenburgpark dress market
There is a flea market in the Sterrenburg Park with about 40 stalls. There is also room for children under the age of 12 to participate in the dress market.
Playground association Victorie
At Playground Association Victorie, children can put down their rugs from 9 a.m. for the dress market, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wilgenwende
There are various activities for children on the lawn at the end of the Laen van Braets on King’s Day. Games are organized and there is a flea market for children who want to sell their toys or are looking for new items! The activities last from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
City polders
At the Bieshof Shopping Center, rugs are also placed every year for a flea market.
