Jos Engelen (81) from Sittard documents the history of the tobacco pipe for the Historical Tobacco Pipe Research Foundation. Guus Hendrix (75) from Geleen has worked for, and was a board member of, volleyball club Vocam from Munstergeleen. He is also a volunteer at the HH Marcellinus and Petrus parish in Oud-Geleen. He is particularly committed to the maintenance of the parish’s historic cemetery and church building.
Frank Keijsers (68) from Sittard has been appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. He is, among other things, a board member of the Royal Limburg Historical and Archaeological Society Kring Westelijke Mijnstreek and treasurer of the Monographs from the Land of Sittard Foundation. He is also a board member of the Kasteel Limbricht Foundation and chairman of the Sittards Verleden Association.
Elly Paulussen-Crauwels (82) from Sittard was chairman and secretary of the Women’s Guild Heerlen. She was chairman of the Women’s Council ‘Women’s Power’ Schinnen Foundation. She was also a board member of the Schinnen Senior Council and a board member of the Alzheimer Café Amstenrade Foundation. She is also a volunteer for Partners in Welzijn at the Wijksteunpunt Gelderhof Sittard.
Ingrid Ruigt-Latten (64) from Sittard is committed to the Parish of the Holy Heart of Jesus Overhoven. She was chairman of the Overhoven Primary School Parents’ Association. She is chairman of the ‘Leif en Leid Overhoven’ Foundation, she supervises the children’s and youth choir of the Overhoven district and she is secretary of the ‘Overhoven sounds the Emergency Bell’ Foundation.
Charlotte Urlings-Stassen (69) from Born is committed to being an informal caregiver. She is a volunteer at Daelzicht and was a volunteer at Swentibold primary school and Traffic Brigade Born. She was a volunteer at the Maria Mother of Mercy Parish and she is a board member of the ‘Missionary Father René’ Foundation.
Harry Wauters (75) from Geleen has been appointed Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau. He worked as a geriatric specialist at Zorggroep Cicero and worked, among other things, on a special Parkinson’s department within the Schuttershof nursing home. He was involved as a doctor in the sailing holidays of De Zonnebloem. He is a volunteer at the Geleens Men’s Choir Mignon.
Myra Wijnen-Verbruggen (55) from Geleen is a volunteer at Handball Club Vlug & Lenig. She has worked for the parent association De Kluis Primary School in Geleen. She is also a volunteer at the animal shelter, Born location, of Dierenbescherming Limburg. She is also a volunteer at the neighborhood association ‘t Kummenölke and was a councilor in the municipality of Sittard-Geleen.
