British King Charles III can resume his public activities. Buckingham Palace announced this on Friday.

Charles, 75, has been treated for cancer since last February. It is still not known which form of cancer this is. The palace has recently released few details about the king’s health.

Together with his wife Camilla, he will visit a cancer center next Tuesday where a meeting is planned with medical teams and patients. The doctors describe the health of the British king as “very encouraging”, according to the statement from the British royal family.

His cancer treatment, which is still continuing, no longer stands in the way of public activities for the king. However, his program will be adjusted if necessary to minimize the risks to the king’s recovery, Buckingham Palace said. At the end of June, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and his wife Empress Masako will make a state visit to the United Kingdom.
