High Tea on the train, Alternative 80’s and On the hunt for the golden egg

--

A long Easter weekend is just around the corner, so plenty of time to plan fun things. DUIC has again listed seven events to attend this weekend and the following days. There is plenty to do!

Kraaij & Kroon – There is no such thing as Dad’s Day

Where: Stadsschouwburg
When: Monday April 1
Price: 12.50 – 26.50 euros

In this performance, actors Johnny Kraaijkamp and Soy Kroon shed light on current, recognizable themes and hot topics. What can you still say today? What happens when a comedian loses his humor? And how are you not forgotten when you are no longer here? One thing is clear: there can, no, there must be laughter.

Facades

Where: Podium Hoge Woerd
When: Friday March 29
Price: 9.59 – 19 euros

In Facades we see the different sides of these three acrobats, who move at the intersection of circus and physical theater. Can we be ourselves in the eyes of others? They drag us into their personal lives. Expect aerial acrobatics, surreal choreographies and personal anecdotes. Together they investigate how one image can mean completely different things.

Nobody sees it

Where: TivoliVredenburg
When: Wednesday April 3
Price: 14.50 euros

Are we at war without seeing it? Digital sabotage, online espionage and large-scale disinformation make the world a permanent battleground. ‘Nobody Sees It’ delves deeper into the shadowy world we saw in the documentary series of the same name. This evening, journalist Huib Modderkolk will show how digital warfare works and what impact it has on society. Together with Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf and scientist and professor by special appointment Haroon Sheikh, the conversation will focus on what is needed to protect our freedom when we are constantly under fire. How do we arm ourselves against disinformation that erodes democracy? And can the truth still emerge if we are permanently inundated by fake news, propaganda and distortions?

Central Late – Faam x On edge

Where: Central Museum
When: Thursday April 4
Price: 8 – 10 euros, also option with food

The Centraal Museum keeps its doors open until late for the special Centraal Laat event. The exhibition spaces are the scene of live music and performances, guests can participate in workshops and listen to lectures. On April 4, the Centraal Museum and FAAM Utrecht will join forces and treat you to a surprising program with live music, workshops, panel talks and unique speed tours through the exhibition. On edge. The line-up is completed by musical live acts from DJ Guenter Råler together with Telemagic and DJ Minka. Sanneke Kleingeld and Victor Bontje provide a special workshop on painting with sound.

Alternative 80’s

Where: TivoliVredenburg
When: Friday March 29
Price: 14.05 euros

This evening is all about the 80’s songs that are heard far too little, but are still so loved. The DJs try to surprise with forgotten songs and bands from the heyday of New Wave and Post-Punk, the rise of Synth pop and the heyday of Gothic rock. Of course, the audience favorites are not forgotten, New Order and The The, Joan Jett and Yazoo, Grace Jones and Prince and of course Siouxsie and The Cure.

High Tea on the train

Where: Railway Museum
When: Friday March 29 to Monday April 1
Price: museum ticket + 18.95 pp

A special high tea in the Railway Museum. Get into ‘The Blue Romanian’ and enjoy good food and drinks in this legendary dining car from Wagons-Lits. This historic carriage rode on the Holland-Scandinavia Express and the North Express from Paris to St. Petersburg. Along the way, the guests were served delicious meals. During the Easter weekend, the doors of the Blue Romanian will open again for a High Tea. Imagine yourself back in the days of luxurious train travel to distant destinations!

On the hunt for the golden egg

Where: Castle the hair
When: Sunday March 31 and Monday April 1
Price: free with park or castle ticket (5 – 19 euros)

One of the Easter Bunny’s favorite places is the park of Kasteel de Haar. He hops around in the Rose Garden, near the Cross Pond, says hello to the deer. But he prefers to be in the maze, because that is where his golden Easter egg lies. At Easter you can hunt for that golden egg! Find the colored Easter eggs in the maze, collect the letters and discover where the Easter Bunny hid the golden egg. There is a nice reward for everyone who succeeds.
