An argument between two dog owners in Eindhoven got out of hand on Thursday evening and ended in a stabbing. A man and his dog were stabbed by another dog owner. The suspect, a 43-year-old Eindhove resident, was arrested at home and is in custody.

This happened on Thursday evening around seven o’clock on Treurenburgstraat. The men encountered each other while walking their dogs and an altercation quickly ensued. Over time, both dogs started fighting each other.

The later stabbing victim tried to separate the four-legged friends, but was unsuccessful. When this man then wanted to protect his dog, the other man stabbed him. The victim’s dog was also hit.

Suspect runs away
Eventually we managed to separate both animals. And a local resident had now called the police. She arrived quickly, but the suspect had since fled. However, officers quickly found the suspect’s address. They found the man at home, where he was arrested. The knife he probably used during the stabbing has been confiscated.

The victim, a 42-year-old man from Eindhoven, was treated in hospital and has filed a report. His dog underwent surgery at a vet. The suspect is in custody for further questioning.
