Werkhoven, Odijk and Bunnik The Working Group Summer School Werkhoven, Odijk, Bunnik has decided to create a great program this year for all residents of our municipality who are not going on holiday. Bunnik Beweegt and St. Krachtig Krommerijn have now started approaching all organizations that have already participated in an activity during the summer school in recent years.
Many of the summer activities involve meetings that are specially organized as part of the Summer School. For example, several companies opened their doors for a tour last year, and there were lectures and courses. There were activities for children in the field of sports, games, crafts and music.
‘Effe neighborhoods’ was very popular among adults. Someone opens up their living room or garden to have coffee or a drink with local residents. Dotman: “Especially elderly people who are no longer very mobile really enjoyed visiting an unknown local resident on their own. The town hall also participated in this activity, with the mayor as host.” People could learn to paddle board or sail, cycle, walk, play sports and play.
Hansen-Hilhorst: “It’s great how many people want to organize activities in the summer. And especially so many different interests that are shared with each other.”
More and more citizens are volunteering to organize a fun activity during the Summer School. Think of a hobby that they would like to share with other people, a photo presentation of a trip they have made or a lecture on an interesting subject. Consider the ‘fun neighborhoods’ activity: “Having a nice cup of coffee/tea together or a nice afternoon drink at your home.” Registrations always go through the summer school organization.
There have been many different activities in previous years, so all activities are welcome. Sporty, social, informative, cultural, creative and much more.
