GOES – Now that the spring season has arrived, it is also extra inviting to walk. For example, with the city guides of the ‘t Gilde de Bevelanden foundation. They provide (free) city walks through Goes, but do much more.

The ‘Historical walk through the city center of Goes’ can be requested all year round, with the exception of Sundays and public holidays. “Would you like something a little more special? Then there is the ‘Maritime walk through Goes, where we pay extra attention to the port area of Goes and the De Werf marina,’ says coordinator Louis Schigt of ‘t Gilde de Bevelanden. “It is also possible to drive through the South Beveland pocket with a bus. The applicants are usually groups that come to Goes by bus. The Guild then has a guide ready who will accompany them and provide information during the ride.”

Free tour of the historic city center

From May to October there is a free tour of the historic city center of Goes every Wednesday afternoon. This tour always starts at 2 p.m. in front of the Historical Museum de Bevelanden, on Singelstraat. “And there are more plans. A children’s treasure hunt through the history of Goese and a tour of the historic town hall on the Grote Markt are at an advanced stage.”

For more information and for applications, interested parties can contact gildedeadviesanden.nl or email Louis Schigt, via [email protected].
