The doctors never allowed her to fly again after several operations. Yet that did not stop the British from getting to New Zealand one way or another. She embarked on a months-long journey by boat and train. She shares the adventure on her TikTok account. “This trip is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life,” she says in one of her videos. “It has shaped who I am, how I love my life and has taught me so much that I can’t wait to share.”

In her videos she also talks about the ups and downs she faced during the trip, but that she thought it was a wonderful way to discover the world. “It was really not easy at times, it was expensive, it was stressful, but I am so happy that I took the leap and that I did not let my condition hold me back.”
