The Noordbroekster women’s choir Elk en Ain will perform the performance with Theater De Dames Slier on Saturday April 13 (8:15 p.m.) Birthday! at mfc De Noordsuythoeve in Noordbroek. Theater De Dames Slier is owned by sisters Harmien and Lydia. They are known for school performances about the environment. And have now created a festive performance for adults, with a combo of 3 musicians.
Theater De Dames Slier now plays a full evening program with local choirs.
Old and new songs
Elk and Ain is a women’s choir of 18 members from Noordbroek. The choir – led by Corien Kronemeijer – sings old and new songs in English, Dutch and Groningen.
Heart warming
The performance is a heart-warming story of a mother who lovingly organizes a surprise party for her daughter. But does my daughter want to celebrate her birthday?
Combo
The combo consists of Han Hesselink (piano), Tseard Nauta (double bass, accordion, violin, banjo) and Gerlo Hesselink (sax, flute, clarinet).
Cooperation
“For the choir and the theater company, this is a unique and extraordinary collaboration. A collaboration that guarantees a festive evening and that will make the hall buzz with energy,” said the choir and theater company.
Four times
Theater De Dames Slier has already performed this performance – with a different choir at each location – four times. This will happen four more times in the coming weeks, including the performance in Noordbroek.
