Home owners with a low income can apply for up to 2,500 euros of insulation subsidy for home insulation. This subsidy applies to all Drenthe municipalities. Insulation makes a house more pleasant to live in. It helps against drafts, cold and CO2 emissions and also ensures a lower energy bill. Depending on the type of insulation, the energy bill drops by 10 to 30%.

The insulation subsidy may be used for various insulation work, such as cavity wall insulation, facade insulation and floor insulation. Applicants do not have to worry about costs for ecological research if they use a company for insulation that is certified for nature-friendly insulation. There is a list of suitable companies on Natuurvriendisoleren.nl.

Conditions for insulation subsidy

The condition is that the annual income of the applicant(s) is less than € 34,100. The application must be accompanied by a signed quotation from a contractor registered with the Chamber of Commerce, with a date after November 1, 2023. The work must be carried out within one year after payment of the subsidy.

This is how you apply

This scheme is implemented by the Northern Netherlands Partnership (SNN). The insulation subsidy can be applied for on the SNN website and will be assessed within eight weeks.
