VVD Midden-Groningen wants to know from the municipal council whether there are companies that cannot establish themselves in the municipality or cannot become more sustainable because there is no space on the energy network. Group chairman Marjolein Vulpes asks this (written) question because she sees that a residential area in Almere, for example, cannot be connected to the network.

“But also that new companies cannot establish themselves, but in some cases cannot make the desired sustainability change.”

Grid congestion

Vulpes also wants to know whether grid congestion is taken into account when drawing up the industrial estate vision. “And is other modalities for companies also being considered? Such as hydrogen and green gas?”

Infrastructure

Due to the rapidly growing need for sustainable energy, the VVD believes that this infrastructure cannot all be constructed at the same time. This requires choices. “Which energy infrastructure should be realized first?”

Energy hub

The coalition party also wants to know whether the realization of an energy hub is also being considered when drawing up the industrial estate vision.
