Housing construction impulse

Building homes is expensive. When building, accessibility, sustainability and affordability must be taken into account. Due to the high costs, many construction projects come to a standstill. The government is using the Housing Building Incentive Scheme (WBI) for this purpose. The government’s contribution must cover half of the financial deficits. The other half pays the region. We will pay €4 million to complete the financing.

Previous successful applications

Gelderland has been very successful with the WBI applications so far. 21 applications have already been granted in the previous rounds. These provide for the construction of 15,000 homes in Arnhem, Zutphen, Apeldoorn, Harderwijk, Ede and Culemborg, among others. More than half of the houses are social rental, mid-range rental and affordable owner-occupied homes.
