About the Textile Race

The Textile Race encourages students to deal with their textiles in a more sustainable way, such as repairing, reusing or handing them in in textile containers. Currently, more than half of the used textiles in the Netherlands are thrown away as residual waste, meaning they cannot be reused or recycled.

The Textile Race De Bevelanden and Tholen is an initiative of the OLAZ (Collaboration of Zeeland municipalities in the field of waste disposal), in collaboration with Curitas and the Zeeland Cleaning Service (ZRD).
