Great news: on May 7 and 8, episodes 1 and 2 of season 4 of The Chosen will be shown in 30 Pathé, VUE and Kinepolis cinemas throughout the Netherlands. Ticket sale has now started via www.thechosen.nl/bios.
The Chosen is a Christian series about the life of Jesus and his followers. The fact that a Christian series is coming to cinemas is a historic moment in the Netherlands. It is the first time that a Christian TV series has been exhibited on such a large scale in the Netherlands, by secular cinemas.
Before the new episodes start, you’ll see highlights from seasons 1, 2 and 3, making this a perfect time to introduce anyone new to this high-quality series to The Chosen.
Showing a series in cinemas is an experiment, but it turned out to be a successful idea in Latin America, the US and several European countries. That is why NEEMA Media and Mediahuis Living Image are now also taking up the challenge in the Netherlands. The Chosen presenter Dagmar Burggraaf talks about this campaign: “This is a dream come true: the first Christian series in our local cinema! That is only possible if a large group of people stand up for it, and we have seen that on social media. Fans from all Christian denominations come together and jointly support this initiative.”
