Short Apple event May 2024
Apple has not made much noise in 2024, but that will change this month. On Tuesday May 7 the very first Apple event of the year will take place: ‘Let Loose’. As usual, it can be followed in full via Apple’s livestream, which will start that day at 4:00 PM Dutch time.

Although ‘first Apple event of 2024’ sounds promising, this is not reflected in the duration of the keynote. Apple expert Mark Gurman writes that the full presentation will only last about 35 minutes – quite short for a keynote. However, it is not exceptional: the ‘Spooky Fast’ event in October 2023 also lasted only thirty minutes.

Although 35 minutes sounds short, it is enough to reveal all the expected products. Because although Apple may have some surprises in store for the May event, there have been rumors for months about the first Apple products of the year. These are all about the iPad: it did not receive any upgrades last year, but in 2024 all iPad models will be put in the spotlight.
The first event kicks off this iPad year with two new models. There will be a new iPad Air, which will appear for the first time in two different sizes. An iPad Pro 2024 is also coming – the very first iPad with an OLED screen. Apple is also working on a new Apple Pencil 3, as well as a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, which should make this device look more like a MacBook.
