The police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting incident on Daltonlaan in Utrecht. On March 20, a group of boys were robbed there, during which shots were also fired.

Three boys (17, 17 and 18 years old) were walking along Daltonlaan that day around 1.45 pm, when a black scooter with two boys on it drove next to them. The suspects on the scooter attacked one of the boys. The others tried to help him, after which a fight broke out between the suspects and the victims.

One of the boys on the scooter has a gun with him, which he also points at the victims. Later, shots are also heard and shell casings are found. The three victims are robbed of personal items. Two boys are injured, although not by shots.

Co-driver arrested

Since the incident, the police had been looking for two suspects, who fled via Archimedeslaan, Pythagoraslaan and Berekuil. The police distributed descriptions, photos and… moving images of the suspects.

The co-driver has now been arrested. The police are still looking for the driver of the scooter. Anyone who knows who this is can contact the police.
