As strong as the stoker & as fast as the porter
Each game focuses on a different profession. Some professions still exist, such as a machinist or designer, others have long since ceased to exist, such as the porter or stoker. Different professions require different talents. By playing the games, visitors can test which competencies are needed to practice a profession. Does it come down to knowledge, puzzling ability, agility and creativity, or are strength and speed needed to carry out the assignment? The ‘Railway Games’ are not only fun to do, they also tell something about working at the railways, past and present.
New games!
This year two new games have been added to the Railway Games. As a foreman, will you get the locomotive into the right shed and, as a track worker, will you ensure that the track is in tip-top condition?! This year we are also working with game producer Galaxy Grove; In their game Station to Station you as a player build stations and connect them together.
