There is a lot to do during the May holidays for families with children. For example, you can experience the interactive Children’s Biennale, discover how to create an exhibition in the Groninger Museum 150 years – Behind the Scenes and the Porcelain exhibition. Art. Design for the last time can be viewed.

From April 27 to May 12, the museum is open every day (including Mondays) between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In the oval room, the colorful tapestry Balletto Geometrico by Andrea Branzi can be seen together with another new acquisition – the tapestry Radical Furniture for Radical Times by Koen Taselaar in the Groninger Museum. The presentation is supplemented with two wall hangings by artists Peter Struycken and Wobbe Alkema.

As part of the Children’s Biennale, a small presentation of old-fashioned games can be viewed in the display cases in the Info Center. The Groninger Museum collected these (board) games a long time ago. You can also play the games yourself. A few replicas (these are counterfeit versions of the games) are on the table.

Children can also participate in the competition ‘make the museum tower a better place’. You can draw your ideal world and win great prizes.
