Job description
Together with a colleague dentist and dental hygienist, you will guide students through the Clinical Program in Pediatric Dentistry. Together with your colleagues, you guide the students in providing good care to patients.
Working environment
We work in pediatric dentistry with a small and enthusiastic team of dentistry and oral care teachers and would like to expand this team with a dental colleague with affinity and preferably experience in pediatric dentistry. The dentistry and dental care teachers provide education for the courses of the same name at the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. The Center for Dentistry and Oral Care (CTM) provides a wide range of oral care to patients from the Northern region and is an inspiring working environment for teaching students. Collaboration between various professional groups in oral care is central to the Groningen training of dentists and dental hygienists. The UMCG-CTM is an inspiring working environment with ample opportunities for peer contact, internal training opportunities and opportunities for further development in the field of pediatric dentistry, education, patient care and research, possibly leading to a promotion.
What do we ask?
- You have a dental diploma and are registered (unconditionally) as a dentist in the BIG register.
- You have an affinity with and preferably practical experience in pediatric dentistry.
- You have an affinity with and preferably experience in teaching.
- You have insight into recent developments in dentistry, also in connection with other scientific areas.
- You are willing to build and maintain both clinical and didactic skills through training.
- You have good social and communication skills.
- You have good written and oral expression skills in the Dutch language.
The UMCG has a preventive Hepatitis B policy. If required for the position, the UMCG can provide the vaccination. For certain professional groups, a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required upon commencement of employment.
What do we offer
You will work in an inspiring working environment with many training opportunities. You work with great colleagues in a small, close-knit team, but you are also part of the larger CTM. The scope of the position is subject to consultation (minimum is 4 hours per week). It is a structural position, but if you first want to find out whether this is something for you, you can also work with us for a temporary period. It is also possible to participate in a trainee program. The date of commencement of employment is as soon as possible. Your salary is a maximum of €6,402 gross per month (scale 11) based on full-time employment. In addition, the UMCG offers an 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus and extras such as a company fitness scheme and a bicycle scheme. The employment conditions are in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for University Medical Centers (CAO-UMC).
