ALLMAND CHAOTEN ORCHESTER
The Allmand Chaoten Orchestra is the ‘show big band’ of the University of Stuttgart. Dressed in red overalls, with the Pink Panther as their mascot, they enjoy playing music and entertaining the public with festive shows. The name is based on the Allmandring student complex, where their roots were planted more than 45 years ago. The orchestra’s repertoire includes a wide variety of music genres, ranging from classical big band music, Latin, jazz and swing music, as well as funk and rock songs. Many of these pieces are accompanied by choreographed shows, making each concert a unique experience. Every year they leave Stuttgart for a ten-day tour through Germany, Sweden and now also the Netherlands!

UTRECHT STUDENTS BIG BAND
Steaming beats, killer solos and exciting rhythms: that is what the Utrecht Student Big Band stands for. These swinging students turn every occasion into a party. The band is a welcome guest at festivals, parties and galas, but also organizes large project concerts that are characterized by innovation and collaborations.

BYU JAZZ BAND
Synthesis, the Birmingham Young University ensemble, combines swing, blues, jazz, Latin and fusion styles into a celebration of jazz entertainment. Some of Brigham Young University’s best and most versatile musicians play, arrange, and compose for this award-winning ensemble. In 2022, Synthesis was personally invited by Wynton Marsalis to perform as one of ten bands at the Jack Rudin Jazz Championship where they won several awards.

FREEDOM SOUP
Before the party starts in the hall, you can enjoy the Freedom Soup. This super delicious meal soup is offered in the context of Liberation Day. The meal is completely free, but reservations are required.
