More women than men die from cardiovascular disease in the Netherlands. This is despite the fact that the complaints that women have are often not recognized as heart complaints. People often think of menopausal complaints, stress or fatigue. In recent years, there has been greater awareness of the risks women face.

EMMELOORD, 01-05-2024 – In addition, more attention has been paid to female-specific risk factors, such as pre-eclampsia or early menopause.
