The final of the ‘Strongest Man in the Netherlands’ will be recorded on the Brinkplein on July 7, 2024. The special event starts at 1:00 PM and admission is free. The final will be broadcast on RTL 7.
The qualifying rounds will be recorded on May 11 and 18. These are (May 11) in Spakenburg and (May 18) in Ulft. The 5 parts that will be done on May 11 are already known, for example, the participants must place 5 different stones weighing 120 to 170 kilos on a platform in 75 seconds. The person who has placed all the fifth stones the fastest wins this part.

In 2017, Jordy Bosch from Olst participated, finishing fourth in the final. In an interview he spoke to Oost about the preparation for such a final: “As soon as the parts of the final are known, you start training for them and for that you simply train the parts of the qualification.” The part that Jordy found the most difficult? “Hand over hand, I don’t have much weight to hang against.” The ‘hand over hand’, also called truck pull, is an event in which the men have to pull a truck over a line using a rope.
