UpdateHeavy rain showers flooded streets throughout Limburg last night and the thunderstorm also caused nuisance in the province of Antwerp. Locally, up to 55 liters of water fell per square meter, says weatherman Frank Duboccage. In Lanaken this was even 88 liters, according to mayor Marino Keulen (Open Vld). The rain zone will remain in the country for a while today and will slowly move towards the Netherlands. “It should be dry everywhere again during the evening,” according to Duboccage.
