She wants to talk to the parents of those causing nuisance this week – the police have drawn up a list.

In recent days, officers have arrested four young people (two minors and two adults). It has been restless at a shopping center in the neighborhood for three evenings. Large groups of young people turned against the police and boas; pelted them with eggs and lighters, among other things. Heavy fireworks were set off, a city bus was pelted, a fire was set and bus shelters were destroyed. “This situation calls for firm limits on unacceptable misconduct,” Dijksma warns.

She announces an area ban on a number of known rioters. Rioters are not allowed to come near the shopping center in the evening and part of the night.

The municipality will also install additional barriers in the parking lot on Saturday to prevent speeding. In addition, there will be flexible cameras. The police are extra alert.
