The battle for the organization of the 2027 Women’s World Cup will definitely be between the joint bid of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and that of Brazil. FIFA has rated the Brazilian bid as the best.

This is evident from a FIFA report published on Tuesday evening. The World Football Association states in the report that the election for the World Cup will be final between the joint bid of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium and that of Brazil.

According to FIFA, both countries meet the minimum requirements to organize the final tournament. The world football association does see the most potential in the Brazilian bid. That gets 4 out of 5 points from the world football association. The ‘Dutch’ bid has to make do with 3.7 points.

The world football association praises the infrastructure, accommodations and strong commercial position in the bid of the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. FIFA does see room for improvement in the development of women’s football in the three countries.

The upcoming World Cup will be the tenth edition of the global final tournament for women. Last year, Australia and New Zealand hosted the tournament. The Netherlands was already the organizer of the European Championships in 2017.

It will become clear on May 17 who will organize the 2027 World Cup. The allocation will then be voted on at a FIFA conference in the Thai capital Bangkok.
