EAST-SOUBURG – The province’s public broadcaster will move to a new location on the Prins Hendrikweg at the Kenniswerf in Vlissingen. The media company is now located in Oost-Souburg. The broadcaster has reached an agreement with real estate developer Kennedy West from Hulst, the owner of the site near the Keersluis Bridge. Kennedy West will redevelop the site under the name “Hendrik Dock”.
In addition to the spaces for broadcasting, the buildings to be developed also have space for companies and catering. According to director Mike Ackermans of the broadcaster, the organization is delighted with both the location and the design of the new building. “It’s a dream come true for us. We see the Kenniswerf as the dynamic growth location of Vlissingen.”
Developer Kennedy West is pleased with Omroep Zeeland as the first and prominent tenant of the new construction to be realized. Director Ivo Mattheeuws of Kennedy West: “We invested in this location because it is a beautiful and central place in a special environment.”
