Nature photo competition by nature platform BuitenGewoon: looking for the best nature photo of Gelderland from beginner to pro – De Puttenaer

ARNHEM The nature platform of Omroep Gelderland, Extraordinary, is looking for the most beautiful nature photo from the past year. This challenge is intended for anyone who enjoys photography in nature. From beginners to pros. This is the sixth edition of the photo competition.

From May 6, photos can be submitted to Extraordinary. Then photographers can choose from the following categories: Animals, Landscape and Macro. The overarching annual theme is ‘Nature in the neighborhood’. Young photographers have also been considered. They can submit their photos in the youth up to 18 years category. You can submit until July 12, 2024.

JURY

A jury of three people, including two photographers of different levels, will judge the entries. The jury includes nature photographer Johan van der Wielen and amateur photographer and Omroep Gelderland presenter Jochem van Gelder. He’s a new jury member. The jury also includes Clara Wilken from Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen.

The jury chooses ten contenders for each category. These will be published on September 2 extraordinary.nl. In September, the public will then vote to choose their favorite for the audience award.

PRICES

The photographer who wins the jury prize for the most beautiful Gelderland nature photo of the year wins a private masterclass of the choice of jury member and nature photographer Johan van der Wielen.
The person who receives the most votes from the public wins a stay worth 400 euros at Natuurhuisje.
The winner of the youth up to 18 years category wins a check worth 250 euros to expand the photography equipment.
The last special prize is for one of the four categories. They can use a Staatsbosbeheer photo hut for an evening. In this photo hut in the vast Veluwe forests, wild boars, red deer, roe deer and foxes can be seen and photographed.
