The Dutch Eurovision Song Contest entry Joost Klein is not rehearsing for the final for the time being. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is investigating an “incident” surrounding the Frisian, according to a statement from the broadcasting organization.
Joost Klein did not show up on time at the rehearsal for the Saturday final for the Eurovision Song Contest on Friday afternoon. The walk-through always takes place on Friday afternoon. The Netherlands will be ranked fifth tomorrow, but instead of the Netherlands, Israel performed and then Lithuania and Spain. Those countries have been assigned starting positions six, seven and eight.

The props for the Dutch performance were already on stage, but have been removed again. “We are currently investigating an incident surrounding the Dutch entry. Klein will not be rehearsing for the time being,” the statement said. The EBU will not comment further.
It is striking that Klein has stopped following Eurovision on Instagram since Friday afternoon. The singer has also deleted all his stories from Thursday evening about the Eurovision Song Contest.
