The Ajax legends held a tribute to Carlo Picornie after the match against Liverpool. The former Ajax players showed a canvas showing the deceased Ajax fan.

Picornie died on March 23, 1997, exactly 27 years ago on Saturday, at the so-called Battle of Beverwijk. Hooligans from Ajax and Feyenoord clashed at a meadow in Beverwijk. Picornie died in the brawl; Before his death, the then 21-year-old Leonardo P. from Rotterdam was sentenced to five years in prison.
