Samsung users complain about this problem after new update

--

Some users who installed a recent update from Samsung say that their Galaxy S23 is heating up faster than before.

Last week, Samsung released One UI 6.1, the latest version of Samsung’s Android interface. While there are a ton of new AI features, some users are now complaining that One UI 6.1 causes the Galaxy S23 to heat up too quickly, Sammobile reports.

For example, an S23 user on Reddit says that his phone gets warm even when he is not actively using the device. Even if other things that may contribute to warming, such as 5G and location, are turned off, he has the same problem. At least one other user on Reddit says he has the same problem. Samsung has not yet confirmed the problem.

One UI 6.1 with AI features

Samsung released One UI 6.1 on March 28. This update includes a bunch of AI features, including automatic summarization, image editing and real-time translation during conversations. There is also now the Google search function Circle to Search, which allows you to circle something and then ask a question about it.

One UI 6.1 is only available for flagship models for now, namely the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Tab S9 tablets. Samsung has not yet said when One UI 6.1 will be released for other smartphone and tablet models.
