Experts Patrick van Veen and Radboud Visser say goodbye to the reality program Married At First Sight. The behavioral biologist and matchmaker will not return in the tenth season. Presenter Carlo Boszhard believes that the program should be improved.

In the last season of the show, in which couples marry each other upon their first meeting, only one of the seven couples stayed together. Van Veen said at the end of the season in an interview with Veronica Magazine hinted that he did not agree with the goings on behind the scenes.

The behavioral biologist stated that the editors pushed him in a certain direction when making the matches. He also wouldn’t get enough time for it. He announced that he would leave if things did not change in the future.

It now appears that Van Veen and Visser are both leaving. In a response, RTL thanks both for their expertise. The company wishes them every success in the future of their careers.

In the past season, the team also consisted of sexologist Eveline Stallaart and relationship coach Anne Campagne. They stay with the program. Replacements are being sought for Van Veen and Visser.

Boszhard responded in his column Television already on the criticism that his program received in the past season. “Of course things can and should be better and that is why I hope for a reliable new method of attraction. That will not immediately bring us love, of course, but perhaps more passion,” writes the presenter.
