Hotel Congress Center De Zeeuwse Stromen in Renesse now offers shelter to those affected in Zierikzee. The hotel says on Facebook that people with an uninhabitable house can contact them and stay there for free.
The tornado also causes other suffering. On the Facebook page of ZierikzeeNieuws you can read that dog Roosje ran away after the whirlwind. The jack russell is one year old, chipped and comes from the Malta district in Zierikzee. The owner puts out a cry for help: ‘Help, help, help! Our little jack russell has run away, because of the storm, I can’t find her anymore. Who saw her?’
