It has been spring for about five weeks now, but the weather has hardly been nice so far. That finally seems to change next week. It will be around 20 degrees and sunny for several days, with locally even 25 degrees possible. We do have to take into account a thunderstorm.
Most people will be ready for some better weather. Especially after the wet King’s Day and an almost stormy Sunday. In the northwest of the country, code yellow will even apply at the end of this weekend due to strong wind gusts of more than 80 kilometers per hour.
During Sunday evening, the wind will blow away most of the showers and a period of much better weather will begin. Monday still starts chilly, with a maximum of 7 degrees in the morning. But once the sun starts shining, it quickly warms up to around 15 degrees Celsius, Weerplaza knows. A weak southerly wind is blowing. It remains dry and sunny, which means that temperatures can reach 20 degrees in the east of the country during the afternoon.
The good weather will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday and it will be 20 to 23 degrees in most places. If there is enough sun, Weerplaza predicts 25 degrees locally in the east on Wednesday. It may feel even warmer due to the pressure of the high humidity. This also ensures that both days can end with a heavy thunderstorm.
Normal temperatures
From Thursday, temperatures will remain between 15 and 20 degrees, which is normal for this time of year. Weerplaza does not yet dare to say very loudly what the weather will be next weekend, May 4 and 5. For now it looks like it will be a bit chilly with around 15 degrees. But it is also possible that the warm, oppressive weather will linger. In that case, it can also be more than 20 degrees during the commemoration and holiday. More will become clear about this in the coming week.
In any case, there is a good chance that it will remain dry during Remembrance Day. It also seems that liberation festivals can expect fairly dry weather next Sunday. There may be quite a few showers, but according to current forecasts there will not be many showers.
